I was very late seeing a doctor about my cataracts (Covid restrictions) and then found I had other eye conditions (including Glaucoma) as well. When I saw Ms Pearsall she acted very quickly to do all she could to save my eyesight. She was clear in her explanations and honest in her assessments of my prognosis. Her speedy action has meant that, although it was very late to save anything, I do still have enough sight in one eye to enable me to live independantly and retain my dignity. The cataract surgery was not easy for her but her attitude and care was outstanding. I will always be so greatful to her for her speedy action and was delighted to see her at clinic recently to be able to thank her again.

I must say I count myself fortunate to be one of the patients of Ms Pearsall, Ophthalmologist Surgeon who restored my sight in my left eye, following cataract surgery. She is highly professional who put me at ease before the eye operation and provided me with reassurance during my follow up appointments with her. She was kind with great empathy, who listened to and addressed all my concerns. She is highyly recommended because she provided me with great care. God bless her and her team at East Surrey Hospital. Outstanding service to my partner. I also wrote the CEO if the trust to express our gratitude. Tahmina is an outstanding surgeon and as welcoming and approachable as she is skilled and thorough. Letter to Surrey and Sussex Healthcare: Angela Stevenson Chief executive Surrey & Sussex Healthcare East Surrey Hospital Redhill. RH1 5RH 23rd Aug. 22 Review of Ophthalmic treatment Mrs Hannah Rose Dear Ms Stevenson, I wanted to personally thank you for the outstanding service your hospital has provided to my partner Mrs Rose. She has been under treatment for ‘Narrow Angle Glaucoma’ for the last couple of months. Monitoring is ongoing. It was a traumatic and painful condition that led to a four night stay in the Acute Medical Unit. During this time she was under the care of Dr. Tahmina Pearsall and Dr. Muhammad Abdulkader. We want to express our gratitude to these two specialists as well as the support staff. Their work and attention to her case has been remarkable and thorough. They were helped by the fact that the Hospital systems appeared to function well and the nurses and other staff were aware of her case at each stage and were also very efficient and friendly. Both doctors are clearly highly skilled, but they have a friendly and confident manner. This is both reassuring and comforting. Please pass on our sincere thanks to them both. On another matter while she was in hospital it was important for her to stay in good contact with myself and her family. Sadly, the WiFi system was so slow it was almost unusable. I understand that there is a large demand from the many inpatients and visitors. However, it’s extremely important for patient and family reassurance that they can be in good contact. I feel it would be of great benefit for the WiFi system to be improved. To add to our frustration the Mobile phone coverage at the site is very poor. I understand that this outside your control, but I feel that you could raise this as an issue with various providers, or a formal request to Ofcom. The Hospital is a key site to have good coverage. It would benefit everyone on the site as well as reducing the demand on the hospital WiFi system. Yours sincerely, Ian Russell

My wife was likely to loose the eyesight in her right eye, having already lost the sight in her left eye. Ms Pearsall explained the operation that was needed, so that she had some sight remaining in her right eye. She was so kind and caring that we had every confidence in her when she performed the operation . A follow up indicated what a great job Ms Pearsall had done. Thank you Mina.
